Me and my friends we recently went to Cake Talk to celebrate our friend’s birthday. It was such an amazing and relaxing experience. The food was delicious and the cakes are just perfect, perfect level of sweetness. We had chicken siomai, and for the cakes we had: ube cake which I highly recommend, it’s delicious, mango cake, vanilla cake and chocolate cake. We also played uno after we finished eating. The atmosphere was so cozy and relaxing that we felt at home. Towards the end we took some photos with our birthday girl and the owner was kind enough to give us another cake while we sing happy birthday. Some of us would like to come back even just for study. Overall, it was an experience that we will all remember.

The cake is so fluffy and delicious. I had the purple yam cake it's was so light and so right. My hubby had the chocolate cake and it was so rich and yummy 😋

The lady who served us was so nice and happy it's a delight to chat with her.

Visited Cake Talk with my wife, who was recommended this place by a colleague. The pistachio cake was delicious, fresh, soft and light. Took a bite of my wife's Rocky Road cup cake and had to order one for myself! They went nicely with my Latte. Would pop in again that's for sure!

This is one of the best cake bakers I have ever experienced. The cakes are moist, super light, and packed full of flavour without being too sweet.

Years ago, my wife ordered a cake from the owner of this shop. It was the best cake I have eaten. Every birthday and every celebration since then we have ordered from them. They have never disappointed. When I learned they were opening a shop we headed straight down. The cakes are just as delicious as always.

My personal favourites are:

Ube cake.

Mango cake.

The pesto and mozzarella toasties.

I highly recommend this shop.

The Filipina owner was very accommodating and welcoming to us customers. We got their halo-halo, siomai, and, of course, their cakes. Everything was delicious! The cakes were very moist and not too sweet. My personal favorite was the ube cake. As for the halo-halo, the ube ice cream was made in-house and had the perfect ube flavor. Definitely one of the bests in Sunderland.

As I was walking through the streets of Sunderland my nose picked up a nourishing scent. I look over to this this shop, cutely placed on the street as if it was waiting for me. As I approached the threshold, my body was lunged into another reality of rainbows and flowers and sweetness as if I was in a trance. However, I was swiftly brought back with a greeting from the lovely employee named Darren. He helped me see what different things on the menu meant or what they included as I’m not familiar with their culture. All together this place is amazing and very cute and comfy.

The cakes are really delicious and the price is affordable. The atmosphere is quiet and suitable for people who want to work or study or chill with friends. I recommend to try ube - purple yam.

Relaxing atmosphere and the food is excellent. Lovely variety of cakes and rare to find such a variety of hot food on the menu. Definitely planning to come back. Cakes are light and fluffy.

Great cafe with a huge selection of delicious cakes and savoury food. Tried the red velvet cake and was blown away. Must try!!

We’ve become regulars at this family run cafe since we discovered it . After swimming the chicken and pork dumplings are a delicious treat. Alternatively there are cakes you may not have tasted before ; mango , pandan , purple yam cake in addition to red velvet ,chocolate , pistachio all prepared perfectly . Larger cakes are available to order. Pumphreys coffee.

The most amazing chocolate cake. I have ordered christening and birthday cakes 4 years in a row from a long-established cake shop/patisserie and they didn't even come close to the cake made by the owner of Cake Talk. So, will definitely change where to order. Really highly recommend this shop, they also do other flavours of cake such as Pistachio, black forest, red velvet, cookies and cream, mango and purple yam. All really soft airy light and not too sweet. Just perfect. Please visit, you won't be disappointed. 👌

I come here more or less every single Tuesday for the Tuna Sandwhich, it is so so yummy and the price of it is such a bargain for such a great portion size and Ace is so so so lovely!! Xxx

I called in earlier today and got a pistachio and cookies and cream cake , Omg they were so delicious, sponge very light and the cream on the outside is to die for. Will definitely be back for more and to try the rest of the menu as the savoury dumplings looked very tasty. Was greeted with a smile , staff couldn't of been more helpful. Good luck for the future.

Cake Talk eat out is one of the best I have visited in recent times.
